BACKGROUND
Background
The attached revision to the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) funding plan for FY 2025-2026 requires the following changes. All of the changes are line-item adjustments and aligning budgets for FY2025-2026. JCPC funds are not affected, only outside sources.
1. Commander Peace Academy - Interpersonal Skill-Building Boxing Program (served 6 of 25 estimated)
Increase of +$20,000 (CBO Grant Awarded)
Decrease of -$12,000 (Local In-Kind)
Total increase = +$8,000
Reasons for increase: : Increase to outside Local Cash revenue (Guilford County CBO); realigned additional funds within Personnel Services and towards increased needs in Supplies/Materials, Travel/Transportation, and Fixed Charges/Other Expenses.
Reasons for decrease: Reduced In-Kind revenues; realigned from additional funds within Personnel Services and Fixed Charges/Other Expenses.
2. Nehemiah Community Empowerment Center - Tech & Robotic Academy (served 68 of 60 estimated)
Increase of +$10,000 (Local In-Kind)
Decrease of - $10,000 (Local In-Kind)
Total increase / decrease = $0
Reasons for increase: Increased service locations and need for a STEM Program Director. Realigned funds within Personnel Services.
Reasons for decrease: Reduced funds from Bookkeeping Services. Realigned funds within Personnel Services.
NC Department of Public Safety notified Guilford County of a clerical error listed on the Funding Plan for FY2025-26 after approval of funds. This error listed was the total of Local Match funds of $956,347 but has since been verified that it should have been listed as $876,391. This clerical error does not have any effect on JCPC Funds nor County funds; it was just a miss-calculation in a formula on their document. The correct amount is reflected in the current Funding Plan.
