BACKGROUND
Background
On October 19, 2023, the Board of Commissioners approved a three (3) year contract with TEKsystems, Inc., an Allegis Group Holding company, for a maximum price of $600,000 beginning November 1, 2023 and ending on October 31, 2026 for a total not to exceed $600,000, with two (2) one-year extension options. The requested action was to "Approve, in substantial form, a price only contract with an annual expense not to exceed $200,000 per year for three (3) years beginning November 1, 2023 and ending on October 31, 2026 for a total not to exceed $600,000, with two (2) one-year extension options, at the discretion of the Board." However, the contract that was presented and approved was a maximum price contract for $600,000. Due to staffing situations and fluctuation in service demands, IT has had to bring on several additional staff members under this contract and may need to go outside the $200,000 expressed yearly limitation. However, the authorized terms of the max exposure remain at $600,000 for the life of the contract. No additional county funds are required to allow for additional flexibility within the existing terms of the contract.
