BACKGROUND
Background
The County contracts with Aramark to provide food services within the detention facilities. As part of that contract, Aramark provides the County with a one-time incentive of $25,000 to support services related to food. This includes but is not limited to kitchen equipment, staff dining enhancements, and/or officer appreciation events. The Sheriff's Office has received the $25,000 and is ready to allocate the funds. The Sheriff’s Office is requesting approval of a budget amendment to appropriate the funds received in FY26 to support purchases. If all funds aren't spent in FY26, the balance of funds will be re-appropriated with the adoption of the FY27 budget.
The account distribution is as follows:
Officer Appreciation Events (2) total $15,000
Re-Entry Food and Pantry Items $10,000
