BACKGROUND
Background
Following adoption of Senate Bill 257, County staff reviewed the Community Based Organization funding process to ensure compliance with changes in State law governing the expenditure of public funds. The County Manager’s Office, County Attorney, and Budget Department have developed revisions to the CBO regulation, application, and funding agreement, including updated public-purpose requirements and a non-discrimination commitment. Staff will review the revised process and timeline, with the application portal scheduled to reopen September 4, and request Board adoption of the amended CBO Regulation.
