BACKGROUND
background
Guilford County is currently in contract with R&R Car Care Center LLC for our basic vehicle maintenance and repair services. The initial contract was for three (3) years, with the option to extend for two (2) one-year renewals, and will end on June 30, 2017. The County is now opting to exercise the renewal options set forth in the initial contract, with a one (1) year renewal effective July 1, 2017 and ending June 30, 2018. County Departments located in High Point will have access to vehicle maintenance services at Thomas Tires in High Point, through their competitively bid state contract with the North Carolina Sherriffs Association.

Approve a price only contract renewal, in substantial form, with R&R Car Care Center (located at 1212 Battleground Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27408) in the amount of $180,000 for basic vehicle maintenance and repair services. Terms of the contract are for one (1) year beginning July 1, 2017 and ending June 30, 2018.
