BACKGROUND
Background
The Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) program is administered through the Bureau of Justice Assistance. This grant is a joint application between the city of High Point and Guilford County. This grant may be used for various criminal justice purposes to enhance public safety. The 2019 Award allocation for the Guilford County Sheriff's Office is $139,976.16.
The Guilford County Sheriff's Office is requesting this award be allocated in the 2020-2021 Law Enforcement budget to purchase uniform badges and patches, and Gas Masks for officers.
