BACKGROUND
background
The Facilities, Property Management and Parks Department Director determined a need for Professional Architectural & Engineering Services with unit prices for future projects in Guilford County. Event 473 Request for Qualifications was released and five firms responded to the RFQ. The base contract will be for one year with the option for two additional one-year renewal options. The value of each contract shall not exceed $2.5 million dollars. These contracts will be used to contract for Professional Services from any one of these qualified firms. These will be Price Only Professional Service Contracts with no requirement to issue any work orders to any of the suppliers. Any work order with a value greater than $200,000.00 must be brought back to the Board of Commissioners for approval prior to beginning the work. The purpose of these contracts is to establish contract pricing with the respective vendors. There is no minimum expenditure required for any of the contracts and any expenditures will be commensurate with operating and/or project budgets will be used. The following companies are:
