BACKGROUND
Background
The Guilford County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) recommends an allocation of $1,289,575 in NC Department of Public Safety (NCDPS) funding and $85,000 in Guilford County funding included in the FY 2024-25 budget. A request for proposals (RFP) for use of funds within Guilford County was issued to qualified and evaluation processed community-based programs targeting delinquent or gang involved youth (ages 10-17), or those at risk of juvenile court involvement. A copy of the two RFPs conducted for this budget are attached. Thirty-two (32) programs responded, and twenty-six (26) programs met minimum requirements of the RFPs. Following a review of the RFPs and applications, the JCPC voted on April 25, 2024 in favor of funding twenty (20) programs, including three (3) new programs for the following allocation recommendation for FY 2024-25. The JCPC Administrative Program Agreement is being processed as a part of the annual Guilford County Juvenile Crime Prevention Certification for FY 2024-2025. The agreement shows that the Administrative annual budget as $15,000, standards listed are true, membership information is accurate and lists terms / responsibilities under the agreement.
