BACKGROUND
Background
The Guilford County Department of Health and Human - Public Health Division is pleased to announce a generous donation of $3,000 from Jeffrey and Paige Chandler. The purpose of this donation is to support services at the Chandler Dental Clinic in Greensboro. The funds will specifically be used to transform an existing exam room into a treatment discussion room.
Clinic Overview:
The Chandler Dental Clinic primarily serves children in Guilford County who are eligible for dental services under their Medicaid coverage. It is worth noting that most private dental offices only accept a limited number of Medicaid-eligible children for dental services. Over the last three (3) fiscal years, the clinic has diligently served the community, with the following number of unduplicated patients:
FY20-21: 1,409
FY21-22: 1,584
FY22-23: 1,687

REQUESTED ACTION
Requested Action
Approve the increase of $3,000 in Other Revenue and increase the FY 2023-24 appropriation to Health and Human Services by the same amount to allocate the funds received by Jeffrey and Paige Chandler. The budget adjustment will support the transformation of an existing exam room into a treatment discussion room at the Chandler Dental Clinic.
