BACKGROUND
background
Guilford County currently utilizes Tyler Munis for most Finance functions. The Munis contract was initially executed by Guilford County March 2019 with a 5-year Term that began April 1st. The executed contract also included language stating it would “renew automatically for additional one (1) year renewal terms at our then-current SaaS Fees unless terminated in writing by either party at least sixty (60) days prior to the end of the then-current renewal term.” Upon review of the Board's initial contract approval action in 2019, motion language included approval for a 5-year term and was silent to ongoing renewals. The estimated increase in annual cost is approximately $28,000 (from $783,670 to ~811,336) and sufficient funds exist in the adopted FY2023-2024 budget to cover this increase.
This agenda item requests Board approval to approve, in substantial form, a one-year automatic renewal of the current contract between Guilford County and Tyler Technologies Inc. upon expiration of the initial term ending on March 31, 2024, to provide certain products and services as outlined in the contract documents and authorize staff to take all reasonable actions to finalize and execute said renewal.
