Members are appointed by the Board of Commissioners. Each member shall be a county resident, and members actively engaged in farming shall be selected for appointment from individuals submitted by the Natural Resource Conservation, the Cooperative Extension Service, the farm service agency and the Guilford County Farm Bureau in an effort to have adequate geographical representation. The initial board is to consist of three (3) members for terms of one (1) year; and two (2) members for terms of three (3) years.
