Five members are appointed by the Board of Commissioners, five members by the High Point (HP) Chamber of Commerce, and one member appointed by the HP City Council to promote, solicit, and encourage convention business within HP; to provide services and coordination for conventions; and to promote tourism, resulting in increased visitation and revenues to HP area facilities, further continued economic development within the city.
